We have often told Peggy she’s a good girl and given her a hug when
doing so. Today, she took some clothes out of a drawer and threw
them on the floor. I asked her to put them back and when she did so I
said, “That’s a good girl, Peggy.” She smiled broadly, clapped her
hands, but I continued writing a letter. Peggy crossed to her bear which
lay on the floor, picked it up, hugged it and said [THAT’S A GOOD
TURNEY]. I have no idea what the last ‘word’ meant, but it was clearly
her variation on the previous phrase in the new context.
