3V0537.02 Imitation/repetition of sense, not syntax: “That is a bird” –> [bird, dat] (7/13/79)
Tonight Peggy and I were looking at a National Geographic World. Peggy
generally looked at only a part of the whole, coming back to the same
few pages (beginning and end). On one there were animals, including a
picture of a bird, which I pointed out. “That is a bird.” Peggy flipped to
another page, then returned to that particular page, and pointing, said
“Bir’ dat” very positively. Gretchen.
