LC3c Relevance to Themes of Selected Source Texts

These Thematic Threads integrate parts of text notes relevant to Infant Peggy’s development and learning with video clips that show incidents exhibiting them. Since there were no videos made before week 18, the initial entries presented are dominated by text. The intention is to present in each thematic thread document an issue focused “slice” through the both the text and video corpora. The six themes specified below reflect the column headers of the Text Corpus Index.
Given that most evident early development is sensory-motor and social, nearly all the video clips of the first six months appear in those threads. The opposite is more nearly true for later development categories such as cognition, reading, and computer use. The seveneth category, “Other”, is for what seemed important but did not properly fit within the primary six.
